De Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog

is a very smart and active dog. If they have something to do they feel comfortable. The Catahoula is therefore more suited to a farm than in the city.
Catahoulas are excellent workers, for herding cows, hunting, Agility, guarding and for rescue - or scenting work.
They protect their home and family very much and they will not scare back for strangers if they are on his property.


As a work-guarding dog the Catahoula can't be everybody's  friend although when he has enough socialization and in the hands of a consistent boss , he fits excellent in our society.

The Catahoula is less suitable as a first dog in the family. Some experience with education and training of work - and guard dogs is very important. A training course is an absolute must.

 

Der Louisiana Catahoula Leoparddog ist eine sehr intelligente und Aktive Hund. Wenn Sie etwas zu tun haben fühlen Sie sich wohl. Der Catahoula ist daher mehr fur auf einem Bauernhof und nicht fur in der Stadt.

Catahoulas sind ausgezeichnete Arbeiter, für Kühe, Jagd , Agility,  Bewachung und als Rettung- oder Färten Arbeit. Sie beschutzen ihre Heimat und Familie sehr viel und sie werden nicht erschrecken von Fremden, wenn sie auf sein Eigentum sind.
Als ein Selbständige arbeitshund ist der Catahoula  natürlich nicht jedermanns Freund, obwohl wenn er ausreichend Sozialisiert ist  und in die hände einen konsequente Master ist, Passt er gut in unsere Gesellschaft .
 Der Catahoula ist nicht so ge-eignete als ersten Hund in der Familie. Einige Erfahrungen mit  Arbeits- und Wachhunde ist sehr wichtig. Eine Schulung ist ein absolutes Muss.
